Macklemore Same Love Piano

Congratulations Tony Abbott and Pauline Hanson, you did it! Macklemore’s ‘Same Love’ is now sitting in the top position on the Australian iTunes charts thanks to in the last few days from conservative politicians and commentators. The song was released five years ago and first hit the number one position on the Australian charts. This week ‘Same Love’ and Macklemore were the target of attacks from conservative politicians including Tony Abbott, Eric Abetz, Peter Dutton and Pauline Hanson, who weren’t happy with the idea of the song being performed at this weekend’s NRL grand final.

Footy fans shouldn't be subjected to a politicised grand final. Sport is sport! — Tony Abbott (@TonyAbbottMHR) Despite a petition calling on the NRL to ditch the song and take “LGBTIQ politics out of the NRL” both the league and Macklemore are standing firm, with the latter “go harder” in response to the criticism.

Now Australia has spoken with its feet by sending ‘Same Love’ right to the top of the iTunes charts. The song has replaced another Macklemore track, ‘Good Old Days’ featuring Kesha from his new album GEMINI, in the number one position. All up there are now three Macklemore tracks in the top 10. The video for ‘Same Love’ has also taken the number one spot, edging out Taylor Swift’s record breaking clip for ‘Look What You Made Me Do’, the debut single from her upcoming album Reputation.

Yesterday independent federal MP Bob Katter joined the chorus of opposition to ‘Same Love’. “If they [the NRL] take the most sacred day of the year, outside of Christmas, and use it to promote their sexual proclivities, that is an insult and an offence to every single follower of rugby league in this country,” he. This is the same Bob Katter who claimed in his electorate and is also in general. It’s pretty bloody heartwarming to see the country band together and collectively tell right-wing dropkicks like Tony Abbott, Bob Katter and Pauline Hanson to piss off by sending a song that’s all about equality to number one. I still can’t believe we’re all Macklemore fans now, but if it pisses off the likes of Abbott and Hanson then I am absolutely happy to wear it. Now let’s get ‘Thrift Shop’ back in the charts.

It’s the real MVP of that album anyway.

When I was in the third grade I thought that I was gay 'Cause I could draw, my uncle was, and I kept my room straight I told my mom, tears rushing down my face She's like 'Ben you've loved girls since before Pre-K, trippin'.' Yeah, I guess she had a point, didn't she? Acronis Disk Director 9 Free Download there. Bunch of stereotypes all in my head I remember doing the math like, 'Yeah, I'm good at little league.'
